Installing Task Scheduler

Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a way to install Task Scheduler on NT4 and/or W2K WITHOUT having to install IE over again? You'd think in this day and age, you could install it seperately.
Thanks.

Re: Installing Task Scheduler

I am not sure whether it comes as a separate component.. but take a look at this..

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/downloads/taskschd.mspx

this can be used as an replacement..

Re: Installing Task Scheduler

Thanks, but I've looked at this before and from what I can tell, this is only for scheduling tasks via VB, and does not install the actual scheduler.

Re: Installing Task Scheduler

if i remember correctly, Task scheduler was part of the NT4 desktop enhancements package from IE4.

this document seems to confirm that:

There have been Innumerable people who have helped me. Of course, I've managed to piss most of them off.

Re: Installing Task Scheduler

Thanks for all the feedback. All this sort of confirms that there is not a stand alone install of Task Scheduler and you must work withing IE to install it.
