Installing a terminal on a mux port
I get this message no matter which port I try to install it on.
/usr/sam/lbin/mkterm.sh[184]: a4: The specified number is not valid | v| |
|| +| for this command.
Can anyone help. I thought this would be a simple install! Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Re: Installing a terminal on a mux port
Hi there.
Is the terminal already connected to the MUX ?
If yes, try the mkfs command.
If not, connect the terminal and retry.
I tried to do the same. It gave me the error message, but it created the terminal in the SAM.

Re: Installing a terminal on a mux port
Are you on HP-UX 11.0?
If so you may want to install PHCO_22269 Cumulative SAM/Obam Patch, which supersedes PHCO_21267, and has a fix for this error.
