Installing the Patches on an Infrastructure Machine of Oracle9iAS

Dear All
I'm patching the Infrastructure Machine of Oracle9iAS on HP-UX11i. During the functioning of @rdbms/admin/catpach.sql script the "Enter value for owa_file_var:" appears. So what is the owa_file_var value should I enter?

I think you are patching up oracle.

it is "catpatch.sql' and not "catpach.sql"

What are the ora errors?
just check your alert log for more information.Just attach your alert log file.

Also check your trace files.

Did you start the database?

Did you login to SQL*Plus as sysdba?
