Intel IDB error in RHEL 3.5 AMD64 version
Debugging a program using 'idb' on Red Hat Linux 3.5 AMD64 version running on HP blade server Opteron processor, gives the following error:
machine_name> idb
Linux Application Debugger for Intel(R) EM64T-based applications, Version 8.1-6, Build 20041117
------------------
object file name: path to
Unrecognized binary file format for file
The following Intel forum reports that this is a problem with Intel Debugger running on AMD64 LINUX:
http://softwareforums.intel.com/ISN/Community/en-US/forums/permalink/222976/222975/ShowThread.aspx
'gdb works correctly on the OS. Any help to resolve this problem will be appreciated.
