Shalom,

Probably not.

Only mice and keyboards were supported with that OS/hardware combination.

No, the only usb devices HP-UX recognizes are the keyboard and mouse.

No, note the note on this doc:

"HP-UX 11i v2 is not supported on HP PA workstations"

What does this mean, exactly? What did you
do? What happened when you did it? A
transcript showing actual commands with their
actual output can be much more useful than
vague descriptions and interpretations.

I don't know what an "hp format cd" is. I
don't think that HP does, either.

A Forum search for keywords like
cd mount
should find many example of people mounting
CDs of various kinds on HP-UX systems.

Thanks all.

I try to use the HP-UX to read a cd/dvd burned in XP but can't read. I have another cd burner which is a hp product and the c8000 then can read the cds burned by this Hp cd/dvd burner using HP sofeware.

Re: Is it possible to read a USB stick on C8000 B.11.11?

You are able to read CD's as long as you give the proper options with the mount command.

Most CD have several Table of contents on them.
You just choose to use ISO9660, rock ridge or other TOC formats.

See also the tool under windows called isobuster. (freeware)

Use that tool to open you cd/dvd and analyze the possible format on that CD/DVD.

Use man mount to figure out what option to mount the CD/DVD with.

Saying "I tried something and it didn't work"
does not say what you did, or what happened
when you did it.

There's more than one way to create a CD
using a Windows XP system. There's more than
one way to try to read a CD on an HP-UX
system. Perhaps someone with psychic powers
greater than mine can divine the actual facts
here, but they're beyond my ken.
