This issue with EVA's is not the LUN size, but the size of the Disk Group. The EVA gets its best performace when you have 1 or 2 disk groups. I/O is spread out over more spindles, more spendles = more I/O capability. So you could have a 500GB LUN or 70GB LUN on an EVA and theoritically they would have the same spindle to GB ratio.

is the one that has to most true (or least untrue) of the answers so far.... UNLESS the app software (and I am not familiar with the later Oracle versions) tries to outsmart the hardware based on outdated config assumptions.
I know there USED to be such assumptions...
