Key Board and Monitor Problem on Pavilion 6683
I had a aquaintence bring me a Pavilion 6683 that will not boot up and the Key Board and Monitor are not operational. In doing basic Diagnostics on the unit it seems that the power supply is ok, the drives are turning and etc. Voltage is within >.5% on each lead. I swapped hard drives with an known good, monitor, keyboard, etc, with the same results. Am I over looking something here? The next to last item to swap is the Bestec Power supply which is an ATX 100-5. After some searching I finally located one in Florida, and I hate to order this and find out later on I missed something totally stupid on my part.

Re: Key Board and Monitor Problem on Pavilion 6683
Hi Mark,
When you switch on the system, does the keyboard initialize? I mean, do you see keboard LEDs blinking (twice)? if not, there might be some problem in CPU or M/board.
