L2000 HP-UX 11i cannot boot !!!!!
Hi,
I'm running a HP L2000 server, 2 CPU and HP-UX 11i.
The only system modification since last reboot is IP address, from 192.50.50.7 to 192.50.50.1, via SAM.
The server cannot boot.
I have the following errors :
"EARLY BOOT UFP : SYSTEM ALERT
SYSTEM NAME uninitialized",
"real_page_alloc_addr() fails, status = -1".
Can somebody help me ?
Thanks in advance.
David

Hi,
Looks like a memory error. This thread seems to cover the same problem : http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x8ec528e43106d6118ff40090279cd0f9,00.html
Hope it helps,
Tom Geudens

Re: L2000 HP-UX 11i cannot boot !!!!!
Hi,
When the system boots if does hardware checks. Did the system detect any errors?
If the only change you made is the ip-adress. you should be able to boot in single user mode:
interrupt the boot process.
bo pri
interqact with ipl: yes
hpux -is (boot single user mode)
check /etc/rc.config.d/netconf for double network entries.
if you can not boot signle user mode try booting the previouse kernel.
Hope this will help,
Gideon

Re: L2000 HP-UX 11i cannot boot !!!!!
This error msg suggest that a page in memory was deallocated due to errors,
and included in the system''s page deallocation tables.
.. check memory boards are appropriately seated.
for more info check this thread:
