Laserjet 8100N

We have a laserjet8100N connected to a Novell network and printing from a
mixture of Windows95 and 98 PCs. After trying to change settings on the
workstation for paper size etc the workstations hang. This only happens when
trying to use the HP 8100n printer driver. PC works OK if we use the driver for
the Laserjet5Si. We also get problems trying to print from Excel with the 8100
driver.
Any help greatly appreciated

Andy,

You may want to have your 95 & 98 clients print directly to the printer port
and you may want to set the print settings to RAW rather than EMF. Doing this
ensures that the windows spooler is not involved in the print process.
