Oracle says only 9i is not supported on itanium but we would need it for migration purposes....
any help is appreciated.

Re: Linking Oracle 8.1.7.4 on itanium fails
though it does not relate to the error message, do you have a specific parameter in mind?

Bernhard

Re: Linking Oracle 8.1.7.4 on itanium fails
just checked the kernal params against my list. The result being that those parameters which still exist are well above recommendations.
maxdsiz is 1GB (maxdsiz64 does not exist)
shmmax is 4GB
maxfiles and maxfiles_lim 4096
nflock 4096
nfile 65536
nproc 4200

Bernhard
