Linux Distribution

Hi there --

I have a Visualize C3000 series workstation and would like to install Linux on it. What distribution of Linux would work? Also, doesn't HP have its own version of the OS, and if so where could I possibly download it? Thanks.

Re: Linux Distribution

Hi,

Try the ditro of Debian for HPPA.
http://non-us.cdimage.debian.org/jigdo-area/3.0_r2/jigdo/hppa/

Other ditro's have also HPPA-risc linux version, just search Google.

Re: Linux Distribution

I suggest you to re-view again if you really need Linux on PA RISC machines.
Yes, there is a Debian port to PARISC, but what about other applications? What about security and other updates?
I recommend you to by Intel-based desktops/workstations/servers for linux.
