Linux drivers for the desk jet printers.

Hey HP engineers!!

When are we going to see Linux drivers for all of your
printers and scanners that work 100%? I'd like
to buy a scanner and the latest DJ but they can't print
in color under Linux. You guys apparently support Linux
now so whats the deal?

i`ve been unsuccesfully trying to get my HP Deskjet 895cxi to work with my dual
boot Linux machine for over 2 months.
As HP seems to be setting up to support all things "Linux", will you be
releasing any set-up tools or official config/drivers to enable Deskjet model
functions?
(This request is urgent,as I would like to keep what little hair remains on my
head!)

I have HP895cxi. I need Linux drivers for it to be useful. My time is rather
expensive. If I cant use a HP, I will use someone elses printer(and so will a
lot of others). So whats it going to be?

I can only agree with the people who have stated a need for reliable drivers
and tools for the Linux OS.

I am very dependant on being allowed the use of my DeskJet printer every day
for internal marketing and PR. Unfortunally I have allowed myself to choose
another OS than MS Windows.

Should that hold me from receiving the proper support from the vendor of my
hardware? I think not. So please start releasing those drivers and tools. I
would be sad to have to pick another brand of printer the next time.

It's ironic when you see all those HP commercials stating that the company is
going to "start creating new concepts" when they themselves aren't following
new concepts uprising. Perhaps we the people whom chose your product should
now look elsewhere for those who are IN FACT supporting their statements... It
is quite a shame to have to make such a change when your hardware is superior
but you support isn't.

I've sent emails to HP requesting linux printer support for some time now, the
more mail we send the greater the chance of HP complying.

So HP please respond to this guy!

I notice that hp appears to be working with VA linux to produce a printing
system for linux.
