Linux on PA-RISC 861/d370
I have an "old" HP 9000 D370/861 with HP-UX 10.20, that i am using for logging&monitoring. The problem is most of applications that I want to use is not suitable for the OS. I am trying to switch to linux and I was reading that parisc is the choice. Does anyone tried yet? It really works? Does the applications in general works on it? Migrating to linux is the solution?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Re: Linux on PA-RISC 861/d370
Your systm OS can be brought all the way up to HP-UX 11.11. That should be taken into account, though I'd recommend bumping the memory up to 1-2 GB before running demanding applications.
You have a Linux option as well.

Thank you for your reply.
I wanto to use the box as it is,if possible, without any hardware upgrades. It has 392 MB of RAM. Do you think it will work wth v11.11?

Re: Linux on PA-RISC 861/d370
Yes, i have tried Linux on parisc it works fine but the only major part is still the linux has not got so matured on parisc so i doubt that all your application works.
I have tried with debian and gentoo .. both works fine ..
Cheers
