MC Service-Guard

Does anyone know if service-guard will work on a HP workstation j6750 ?

MC/SG is not officially supported on workstations. That is not to say that it can't be made to work at least for testing/learning purposes. You quickly run into problems trying to set SCSI controller ID's to something other than 7 on most workstations.

Do yourself a favor and find a pair of old D-boxes. They are dirst cheap on the used-equipment market and will make a very good learning environment.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Hi,

It can run, but it's not supported by HP on workststations. As Clay stated SCSI IDs can be a pain so I'd recommend fibre storage as the shared storage option.

All you can do is try - I'm running a single node cluster on my B2000 - for testing.
