I have a ML110 G4 Server with 4 x 80 GB SATA disks and when i try to install RHEL 4, i get the message "An error has ocurred - no valid devices were found on wich to create a new file system. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem."
I used the HP Embedded SATA RAID Controller Driver Diskette for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and installed with linux update dd and same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Shalom,
If the ML110 comes with a bootable cd, you may try to configure the storage and then do the rH install. The bios on many of these servers contains a configuration tool as well.
Since you have 4 disks, some preconfiguration is required prior to OS install.
If the system supports hardware raid, this should be done as it takes I/O off the OS and makes the system more efficient overall.
