ML110 G7

Installation of RHEL 6.2 was successful however the HP network card is not being detected correctly.

When issuing the ifconfig -a statement, eth0 or eth1 does not have an inet address.

Can any provide the HP specific network driver for RHEL 6.2 x64 bit or viable workaround.

Thanks,

Chris

Re: ML110 G7

If "ifconfig -a" lists the card, then the card is detected by the driver. But does the OS have any settings configured for it?

Do the files /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 exist?

Do the MAC addresses specified on "HWADDR=" lines match the actual HW addresses listed in "ifconfig -a"?

Is the "ONBOOT=" line set to "yes"?

Run "ifconfig <network_card> up", wait a few seconds, then "ethtool <network_card>". Does it say "Link detected: yes"?
