ML310

Linux setup.
I have tried to install FC5 & Ubuntu 6 to ML310.
On both cases the USB Virtual Devices (mouse&keb) cause BIG problems.

How can I disable these virtual devices?
How can I setup these systems?

Re: ML310

Shalom Sam,

Can you describe the problems? USB keyboards and mice are definitely supported with FC5.

Front or back USB connection? My 1st suggestion would be to make sure your system firmware is completely up to date...

Re: ML310

You are not reading us correctly!!!

This is not a USB problem!

This is a Virtual USB problem.

The "#%¤"&#% iLO virtual keyboard and mouse are causing a lot of problems for a lot of peaople.

I'm seriously questioning the need to inflict this pain to so many people just because it would be nice! to have a emergency GUI system if something "happened" for a few servers maybe someday somewhere.

Re: ML310

OK, in that case, is your iLo firmware completely up to date? I, personally, have not heard of vUSB certification beyond rhel4 and sles9, hp-ux, and windows.

Re: ML310

BINGO!!!

So those are the only OS that you should try to install to these servers nowdays.
(Unless you rip out the hart of the iLO :)
