ML370 and Proliant SP for Redhat ES

I bought a ML370 for the express purpose of running enterprise Linux and I have had no luck installing so far. My box is a 667 dual proc ml370 running Redhat ES 2.1. Checked all the dependencies and also tried the fix for the /etc/redhat-release workaround. Still get permission denied trying to run the install.sh script as root...
Love to get this running!!

Thanks, Derek

Re: ML370 and Proliant SP for Redhat ES

Derek,
If you get permission denied, it is probably because the shell script does not have execute privileges. To set this, use the "chmod 755 install.sh" command. This should allow you to execute the shell script.

Hi,

do you try to run "install.sh" directly from CD? If yes, how is CD mountesd. Maybe it's mounted with noexec. Remount it with exec flag and try again
