MSSQL
Hi,
Simple question. Can I snapshot an image from SQLSVR1 and present it to SQLSVR2?
Any conflict with credentials etc? It is not a cluster setup, just for DR purposes.
Thanks.

Re: MSSQL
Which SQL server version ?
Generally speaking it will work.
Regarding credentials - you need to have all users on both servers.
I think best way to do such things - define SQL replication between two servers.

Re: MSSQL
Thanks for the reply.
A: 2000 and 2005
So, if the servers are on the same domain. SVR2 can mount the snap shot image?
I'm also considering implementing DButil to perform the stopping of transactions before taking snapshot. Any comments on this?
Thanks.
Sorry, i'm new to this..
