Minimzed Applications Not Appearing on Taskbar but are accessible via ALT-TAB
We are running Fedora Core 2 with the Gnome desktop on one of our systems. Typically when an application is minimized, it appears on the taskbar. However, for some unknown reason any application now simply 'disappears', and is accessibly exclusively via the ALT-TAB key combination.
What could have caused this, and how can it be corrected? Thanks.

Re: Minimzed Applications Not Appearing on Taskbar but are accessible via ALT-TAB
I have found that removing gnome desktop and X Windows and reinstalling resets and corrects these issues in newer releases of Fedora/Red Hat.
Usually I do it with yum.

Re: Minimzed Applications Not Appearing on Taskbar but are accessible via ALT-TAB
How would I go about checking the settings to ensure that was the case? Thanks.

Re: Minimzed Applications Not Appearing on Taskbar but are accessible via ALT-TAB
If not try this:
right clisk on empty space on panel(taskbar).
select Add to panel
select window list from the huge list of applets provided.
Now you will be able to see wht you want to see.
