Missing X11 include files

Hello,

my system is running HP-UX 11.00 and I miss
the X11 include files. The directory /usr/include/X11 contains only the bitmap subdirectory. Product B3913DB C.03.37 HP aC++ Compiler (S800)is installed.

Any suggestions form the smart guys?

If you ar just missing some files, you can comply copy them from a working HP-9000 system.

I'm not sure how you came to your conclusion. Can you tell me how you are getting the error message and post it in.

You could always just swinstall the product from the applicatoin cd's.

Hi,
as SEP said, if you are missin gonly some files, you can copy them.

But are you sure that your X11 is properly installed ?

Maybe it was not full installed, and when you installed the aC++ compiler some fileset were not installed due top missing dependencies. Check in the /var/adm/sw/*.log, maybe you got a clue.

I have a second system thats running 11.00. But the directory also don't contains the necessary files. I am using the product pageformatter from quest software. It need the include files from X11 (error message: include file X11/Xlib.h not found).

Could be so kind and tell me which product install the X11 include files?

Did you install the X11 development libraries ?

I think the Xlib.h should be in that package.

I beleive the aCC+ compiler can be purchased to include the Motif Dev kit libs.. called something like the aC++ Developers bundle ...same with the other compilers ...fortran etc.
