More than 1.4 million MCPs and MCSEs

I am preparing for CISSP certification and found the free online quiz useful @http://www.securenode.com but also across this quote:

"There are more than 1.4 million MCPs, MCSEs, and MCSDs; and more than 240,000 CCNAs. Take the leading edge. BE AMONG THE ELITE OF IT PROFESSIONALS. GET SECURITY CERTIFIED!"

Can someone validate this. I am MCSE but are there really so many MCSE's in the world. What is the future of MCSE's?

Hi,

I don't have any stats on that. But MCPs, MCSEs, and MCSDs means a lot of people. Think that every NT4 MCP is counted here, and this total is including all categories.

I think that the only point is to think : is it valuable to be MCSE as far as your career is concerned, or not ? It seems that the answer is still yes, and that migrating to MCSE 2003 is also a good idea for your revenue...
