Move product licenses to another Server

Hello,

We have an rx86xx running HP-UX 11.23 who is decomissioned now. And we are thinking about to move some Products like C++, MirrorDisk, GlancePlus, OnlineJFS, OpenView Performance Agent etc., who are actually licensed to the rx86xx Server, to another HP-UX Server running 11.23(rx26xx).
Is this possible or do we have to buy new licenses?

Hi,

It is possible to move the licenses - you can get in touch with your HP Support personnel and I believe that they would be able to issue you licenses/codewords for the other server.

There are 2 seperate things
codewords and licenses.
You'll find the used codewords on the server in /var/adm/sw/.codewords if you installed them from a local tape/cdrom. Check the depot server (if any) for more codewords.
But this does not necessarily allow you to use the codewords on another server.
Contact HP to move the licenses (support)!
