ORA-00202: control file: '/bases/apogee/APOHP10/pt1/oracle/APOHP10/control01.ctl'

Hello,

You use the NFS mounted volume to actually install a new database on it? If this is the case, the idea is not very good (running an instance that would have the core files on some NFS partition)

Seems to me that you allready have in use the control file. Maybe another instance running?

Best regards
Horia.

Re: NFS Problems with Oracle 10.2.03 HPUX / Linux

Hi,

Before, the NFS server was on tru64 5.1B
No problems with this server.
We have change NFS Server. Now it's Linux Centos 5.4.
Since, don't work well.

I want to create a database on local disk. I make test and it's good.

I don't understand the difference between NFS server Tru64 5.1B and Linux Center OS 5.4

Thank's
