Need assistance with HPUX error
Not sure if this is the correct forum to get assistance with this, but would appreciate quick replies.
Application encountered the following error at the unix c level (hpux 11):
Pthread internal error: message: vp_call_setstate, file: /ux/core/libs/threadslibs/src/common/pthreads/machdep.c, line: 170
Error msg: Bad address
Return Pointer is 0xc02a6acb
If this is not the correct forum to post this message, please let me know where to go?

Re: Need assistance with HPUX error
Probably no good place for this.
This is an application error that certainly could be related to a bug in HPUX that needs a patch but..
You could at least post what the application is and/or review with your application vendors recommendations on patches or known issues ?
Otherwise you are really looking for debug assistance with this application which you might get if you can post all the needed debug information and executable particulars.

The correct place is the Response Center.
Do you have the latest libpthread patches?
What OS version do you have? (hpux 11 is not precise.)
>Tim: This is an application error that certainly could be related to a bug in HP-UX
By definition, asserts in libpthread are bugs in a HP product. (Unless you have written all over memory.) The Response Center should at least tell you what your are doing wrong.
