Re: Need to install HP UX 11iv3
Shalom,
It is possible to do the install via MP/GSP.
You will need to get it on a network and configured with a valid IP address, the rest is relatively straightforward.
Don't need a console these days.
There is a default IP address on the MP/GSP cards, and you can direct connect to it with a laptop and a cross connect cable to get started.

Re: Need to install HP UX 11iv3
I have completed the install of 11iv3 but it is not accepting the uid and password I gave it during the install. I chose the standalone install as it was just a test run of the install, but it is not allowing me to login successfully from the CO session. Is there a way to reset or clear the credentials from the MP for the admin/user login?

Re: Need to install HP UX 11iv3
Hi,
if I understand well you need to reset password of root or do you refer to MP admin user/password?
If you mean root password you must bring your system in single-user mode and change password from there by passwd command.
HTH.
Best regards,
Fabio
