I have installed the Net-SNMP software on one of my HP-UX 11.11 servers a quite a while ago. Now, I need to confirm if the package I installed was for the right model. Does any know how I can confirm this?
The package I would have installed would have been one of the following:
1. net-snmp-5.4-1-HP-UX_B.11.00_9000_712.tar.gz
2. net-snmp-5.4-1-HP-UX_B.11.11_9000_800.tar.gz
The thing is I think I might have installed the 9000_712 package on the 9000_800 server by accident and I need to confirm this.
Thanks in advance for you help,
GBR

Re: Net-SNMP Installation
I assume that this would have been installed by 'swinstall'. Hence, use 'swlist' to view.
Regards!

SolutionIf you used tar, you'll need to extract the files to another location and compare a few files with cksum(1).
You could also use diff(1) and diff -r to compare directories.
You could list the files and sizes on the two tar files and then find which are different and compare to what you have installed.
