Netserver LC 3 and Linux

I have a Netserver LC 3 with 3 SCSI Hot Swap drivers (9Gb) and a RAID controller (it has a Symbios Logic 53C770 chip, an Intel i960and a American Megatrends MG9010CQFP914D) i would like to use it with linux (Fedora Core 3 or other distribution) I read that the RAID card is not supported by linux distributions so i connected the disks to de integrated Adaptec Aic 7880P SCSI controller but the installer do not find drivers, anyone can help me? I also tried to install Red Hat 9B but nothing change. May i use a differend distribution? Thanks

Re: Netserver LC 3 and Linux

I Fedora Core doesn't suport the Raid, card it was the right decision touse another RAID card.

Most raid cards require setup prior to OS installation. The card should come with a bootable cd that will let you set up the array prior to the OS installation.

Linux can't pick up the disk unless its presented in a way it understands.

Re: Netserver LC 3 and Linux

Hi,

I use Mandrake 10 perfectly kernel 2.6 smp, and it recognizes everything.

I am using Raid 1 and Raid 5 with XFS and ReiserFS.
