Re: Not able to Install the LAN drivers for RHEL 4

Shalom,

The reason you can not install LAN drivers for this system is this is a windows only system.

You either get a new system or install an add in LAN card that supports Linux. Such a card retails for around $25

End of game.

Re: Not able to Install the LAN drivers for RHEL 4

I use the XW4400 extensively at my site, but there are no supported drivers available for the onboard NIC for RHEL4.x . My recommendations would be as follows (these work in my lab):

1) switch to OpenSUSE 10.x or 11.x
2) switch to Centos 5.x
3) purchase a cheap PCI NIC that has RHEL4.x driver support.

Let this be a (hard) lesson, you _SHOULD_ always check the compatibility list before buying hardware. This is equally true for any OS (even windows!).
