Re: Not able to use more within user control script
Rodney:
I understand your point, but I am new in this shop and they had no UNIX sys admin before I got here. All of the employees here are programmers (they were the owners of the machines) and the best way they had to resolve an issue was openning permissions to all the files and directories. You should hear some of the stories about files getting deleted from accounts for a user that is not the owner of the file. They had also deleted the OS many times. My mayor problem here is that I don't know what will stop working if I change the permissions to some of the files and/or directories.
Everyone had the root password. You don't know how mad they got when I changed the root passwords in all the boxes. I am still getting complains about it and this is my third month here. SCARY,DON'T YOU THINK???
Regards,
DR
Pete
Thank you for your note.
