ODBC instantclient not working after reboot

we have a linux redhat 4 that we use InstantClient on and after a small power failure and reboot we have not been able to connect using instantclient. It seems to just hang. We turned on tracing and we are not even getting a odbc trace file. Any ideas?

Re: ODBC instantclient not working after reboot

Shalom,

dmesg

There may be hardware damage. No power failure is small to a computer.

Put a set -x in the startup for the daemon in /etc/init.d

review /var/log/messages for more information.

Re: ODBC instantclient not working after reboot

Looks like after we powered the server down again and put a UPS. This seemed to wake it up again. Thank you for your help SEP
