I have an Omnibook XE2-DC that originaly had windows 98 and then was migrated to windows 2000, the problem is that it is not possible to connect to throught the IRport while the system says that the device is working properly. Is this IR port working with windows 2000? Is it possible to get an updated driver?

Hector:
Did you upgrade the BIOS before you installed WIN2K? See:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=19432&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=31647&swEnvOID=181
On that same link, click on "HP Configuration Interface for Windows 2000" and read/follow the text. If you didn't install an ACPI BIOS before installing WIN2K, you may have to re-install.
