Opening Oracle Enterprise Manager Console on HPUX11.11

Hi Friends,

I installed HPUX11.11/Oracle10gR1. How do I open the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console? I know of the http://ipadr:5500/em but is there another way to open the console???

oemapp console will work on HP as well as Linux. That's how I start the OEM on my Ubuntu linux machine.

Guys,

Thanks for all the information but I tried to start the OEM console using "oemapp console", I got an error - su: oemapp: not found.
What could be wrong here? I will appreciate help pls...

Yea!

But I ran the command as root and as oracle and still get thesame error.
Aswell "find / -name oemapp" and got nothing.
Am I missing something out? Or is there some more products I need to install???

Hi Charles,

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/oemapp

Where applications may be: txtmgr, worksheet, ocmcli, dbastudio, console, ...

If you have no oemapp in $ORACLE_HOME/bin that's because you have not installed oem well or at all.

Dear Eric,

Yea that is what I need to confirm. There is really no oemapp in $ORACLE_HOME/bin. I have not install OEM. I have 10gR1 Database installed but no OEM. I guess I would have to download Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 1 (10.1.0.2) for HP-UX and install it.
Pls if this action step is wrong kindly advice.
