Oracle 8.0.5 on HP-UX 11.0 to Upgrade to Oracle 8.1.7.3

Can Oracle 8.0.5 on HP-UX 11.0 be Upgrade to Oracle 8.1.7.3 "Straight" or will the L-Class need patching up.

Taking in cosideration that HP-UX 11.0 here is patched up for Oracle 8.0.5.

Im sure we had to put a patch or two onto our L's and N's when we upgraded like this. Only one I can think of is a later linker(ld) patch;

Here are the basic things you would need to check :

There is a HP patch (PHSS_22478) that have to be applied before the oracle upgrade. Also, the HP Unix system configration must be verified and make any necessary changes based on the Oracle 8.1.7 requirement.
