Oracle 8.1.7 EE on V2500

I install 8.1.7 on V2500 but oracle service manager talk
to me :

sh: /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/oracle execution permission denied

what problem?
help me pls

Did you install the patch PHSS_22478 ?
Have you checked your kernel params ?

Hi,

the oracle executable should be owned by Oracle (or another name you might have given for the Oracle install) with sticky bit set for owner and group, and executable by anyone:

-rwsr-s--x 1 oracle dba 34724848 Jul 27 2000 oracle

Hi,

I believe you got the pathname of the Oracle binary wrong. This error occurs because you are trying to execute the directory ie. /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/oracle.

sh: /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/oracle execution permission denied

Verify your $ORACLE_HOME and try running $ORACLE_HOME/bin/svrmgrl.
