Oracle 9i on HPUX 11i

Hi, is it possible to install oracle 9i in HPUX 11i? If so, do I have to install patche(s) of the hpux 11i?

Hi,

Yes you can install 9i on hp-ux 11i,

check out the oracle 9i docs for hp-ux. Patches if required will be mentioned in the docs for the product,

For patches, make sure you are up-to-date with all patches...and contact Oracle for others that might be necessary.

can install oracle 9i on 11i. when i installed it didn't gave me any error nor i installed ant patches. it's working well

You'll have to follow the requirements in the Release Notes or you're bound to get into trouble one day:

and then you have the Quick installation procedure:

so you don't have to plough thru the Installation Manual, which now is nearly Tolkien size...
