Oracle 9iAS, Oracle 9i RAC and HPUX11i

Hello everyone,

I'm presently investigating a problem faced by my customer. They are having some problems running webforms on their 3-tier application. Their setup consists of the following :

1) Oracle 9iAS
2) Oracle 9i RAC
3) HPUX11i

I would like to know if there are any users who have a similar setup and is working fine.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Re: Oracle 9iAS, Oracle 9i RAC and HPUX11i

Hi,

we have oracle9i r2 AS running on 11i.
it's fine. I don't think RAC shouldn't cause any problem.

Re: Oracle 9iAS, Oracle 9i RAC and HPUX11i

hi,

we have:

1) Oracle 9iAS release 2
2) Oracle 8i (8.1.7.4)
3) HPUX11i

and is working rather well.

Our 9iAS installation was a nightmare, but we managed to make it work.

Best Regards

Hi ravi,

Are you using Oracle 9iRAC? Could you let me know the version of your Java 2 SDK and HP Apache web server?

Re: Oracle 9iAS, Oracle 9i RAC and HPUX11i

hi,

swlist -l product|grep -i "sdk"
Jdk13 1.3.1.06.00 Java2 1.3 SDK
swlist -l product|grep -i "apache"
ApacheStrong 1.3.19.23 HP Apache-based Web Server with Strong (128bit) Encryption

but remember, my 9iAS is using the default apache that comes with the 9iAS installation itself.

Re: Oracle 9iAS, Oracle 9i RAC and HPUX11i

Let me describe the problem:

Users running on windows machines are not able to view the reports that are generated by the 9iAS server. This happens regardless of the size of the reports but very evident in huge ones. It is confirmed that the report file had been generated on the server, but when viewed on the client's browser, it will hang/crash their session. The Jserv process will be terminated and below is the error from the Jserv.log:

[17/03/2003 16:08:36:120] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: connection fail
