The stm log is named activity_log & is located in
/var/stm/logs/sys.
Also Ruediger has suggested look in Oracle's listener log.

Hi,
Oracle has additional trace files, that may show something.
Try to find files like "**.trc" and try to get some infor from these ones.
The timstamp of this file should be related to the last entry in your alert file.
