Oracle Gateway for Sybase install error
?? have successfully installed Oracle 9.0.1.0.0 (64bit) on HP-UX 11.00 (64bit).
I have attempted to install the Gateway ( 8.1.6) for Sybase that comes bundled with Oracle 9.0.1.0.0 into a different $ORACLE_HOME and the install fails with
/usr/ccs/bin/ld: Can't find library: "navhoa"
I have attached the tail of the make.log.
Any comments suggestions welcome
Thanks
Steve

Re: Oracle Gateway for Sybase install error
Just check whether you have that file in your ORACLE_HOME/tg4sybs/lib folder.
If the file is not available
check whether the install CD has the file.copy that to the ORACLE_HOME/tg4sysb/lib directory and re-make.
Thanks

Re: Oracle Gateway for Sybase install error
What is the SHLIB_PATH variable in your machine.
Make sure that these libraries are added to the path of SHLIB_PATH directory.
ALso make sure that all the OS patches are installed.
as per the installation guide.
Thanks

Re: Oracle Gateway for Sybase install error
TG,
Thanks for the response
The library "navhoa" does not exist anywhere on my host machine ( neither do the rest of the library files given in the error statement e.g. navshr, nvbase )
The CD has been copied to disk for me under /ora_cds
./app ./cd1 ./cd2 ./cd3 ./oraInventory ./product
a regular "find . -name navhoa" reveals no file, but how can I be sure this library is not hiding in some kind of package under /ora_cds which is extracted by runInstaller
Thanks
Steve
