Hi (again) Chris:

Why bother? Use SWA to fetch the QPK and build a depot for installation.

Re: Oracle and HPUX version help??
I'm going to take a whole different tack on this....
Oracle 11g - i.e. Oracle Grid technology.
It seems that Oracle, like others, is working to build their software as the controller. Our DBA's have 11g on a box here and I've found that it conflicts with things like HP-SIMM; and HPVM (Virtual Machines) and probably more.
...The issue...they all want to control the O/S & hardware. HPVM host requires control of the hardware to serve up to the VM clients. HP-SIMM if it's the HP-SIMM Server (client agent is okay) conflicts with it. Both of these are documented. Our DBA's subtly gave me their views on how they can could the 'box' with 11g. Everybody feels they can be the HPUX Admin.
So beyond updating to an O/S version - watch out what's on the box that might conflict with 'grid' technology.
Just sharing.
Regards,
Rita
