You may need to check with your provider as to which server it is connecting to and if they have the account on one server over another.

I use yahoo or aol for e mail as they can transend local ISP's and give me a long term address other than hosting my own Domain which I have at work.

Problem solved! It was much simpler than we thought. I had not checked "server requires authentication."
