Possible to upgrade my OS media release?

Hi,
I'm running B.11.31 0709
I want to run Integrity VM 4.0 but it requires Sept 2008 release.

Is these a way to upgrade to this (patches, firmware)?

Fran,

Yes you can update to 0809 using update-ux

You'll need a set of media for the 0809 release then follow the instructions in the manual:

Note installing patches is *not* sufficient as it doesn't upgrade product versions.

Shalom,

If you install a bi-annual patch set, you will meet the requirement. This is the binary equivalent of a cold install.

That is what you want. You don't need update-ux

Sorry but SEP is _wrong_ here - applying patches will *not* bring you up to the 0809 release - only doing an update-ux (or cold install) will. If you're not on the 0809 release you will find that VM4.0 cannot be installed.

Sorry SEP, your statement is only true up to 11.11, but not for newer releases.
