Being that here in the USA soccer is like the "red headed stepchild", our team has nothing to lose and everything to gain, whereas every team that we have beaten is ashamed to go home.

sidenote: I played a year of soccer in college, then I switched back to lacrosse (the canadian national sport - and no hockey isn't their national sport).

So, we will have a German team, that if they play conservatively, then the American team will beat them. The German team has to play aggressive. Hell they have the experience, size, coaching, and speed. And according to Alejandro Burillo (Mexico's president of national team commission) the USA team is "inferior".

So I predict USA over Germany (2 - 0), England over Brazil (2 - 1), Spain over SK (2-0), Turkey over Senegal (3-1).

As for the next round: I'm not sure how they are matched up, but I'm sure I'll be enlightened.
