Problem typing numerals in Excel in multiple languages..

I have Microsoft excel 2002 with sp3 installed in my computer in windows xp sp2 environment.I use multiple languages for typing i.e., English and Arabic.whenever I switch to type in "arabic",numerals are still being typed in English .whereas when I type in the same cell beginning with Arabic text followed by arabic numbers , it types properly in arabic. But when i press enter and begin typing numerals, it types in English again.
Any idea about resolving this behaviour will be highly appreciated.
