Problem with barcode Fonts (code-128) and Ghostscript on HP-UX

Hi all,

I am trying to print a pdf-Document containing barcodes on my HP-UX box with Ghostscript. As the barcodes are not converted during printout I tried to install the necessary font (which btw helped to solve the problem on my windows box) but still the same issue.

Loading Code-128 font from /usr/lib/X11/fonts/ms.st/typefaces/code_128.ttf... 2460928 1071526 12639040 11272934 3 done.
Substituting font Helvetica for Code-128.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Shalom,

What version of ghostscript are you using?

There have been recent updates and you may need to update ghostscript on HP-UX to get good output.

Re: Problem with barcode Fonts (code-128) and Ghostscript on HP-UX

Hi Steven,

I am using GNU Ghostscript 8.62 (2008-02-29)
from HPUX Porting Centre on different OS releases (11.11 and 11.31).

I already tried the following procedures to install the fonts:

which seemed to work but gs does not use this font.

... still fighting with that problem.

I have to print a pdf-Document containing barcodes (code-128) to a standard printer.
Any other ideas how to do this, probably without using ghostscript as ps converter?
