Proliant Bl20p / RH3EL Update 3 . Hang
A customer with RH EL 3 Update 3 (AS) on Proliant Bl20p has a strange behaviour. When the customer perform a login never got the prompt... If you type crtl+c quickly after you have typed the password, you get the following prompt: "-bash-2.05b#". In this point any command will hang itself.
No entries in /var/log/messages and the HPSIM agents don´t report nothing. The only message in the /var/log/messages and in the ILO console is "casm: the HW semaphore that is used to synchronize NVRAM access between the ROM and the ILO is locked! See the man page for details".
Any idea?
Thanks in advance

Re: Proliant Bl20p / RH3EL Update 3 . Hang
If you can get a prompt:
Try the df command.
See if you have a filesystem close to capacity.
Beyond that I'd boot the system with its diag cd and check the hardware.
I've seen a lot on the forums and this one is a bit bizarre.
