What is the diff between the mentioned terms ??. I found a qtn in Test certification

Any once has an idea ?.

Private directory means that a directory has '700' permission, output from 'll' should be: drwx------
Public directory means that the owner has granted permissions to group members or public users, output from 'll' is usually 'drxwr-xr-x'(755) or drwxrwxrwx'(777)
