RBL Option for sendmail

The Realtime Blackhole Listing for dns that can be integrated into sendmail for lookups is a paid subscription service available from the mail-abuse.org website. The service allows a zone transfer from the mail-abuse dns servers to your enterprise dns servers. The fees are included below and do not appear to have dropped in recent months. If you do not want to pay for the service, then setting up the access database is the way to go for preventing spam.

Re: RBL Option for sendmail

BTW, there are plenty of other dnsBLs that are free:
sbl.spamhaus.org, relays.ordb.org, spamcop.net, dnsbl.njabl.org, spews.relays.osirusoft.com, dun.dnsrbl.net, KR.rbl.cluecentral.net, TW.rbl.cluecentral.net, CN.tbl.cluecentral.net

We use
ORDB.ORG
NJABL.ORG
SPAMHAUS.ORG
OSIRUSOFT.COM

and reject 2 messages for every message that actually gets delivered.

Re: RBL Option for sendmail

Hello .. I hope someone is still reading this post. But I am running sendmail 8.12.6.
Where can I specify the option to use an rbl blacklist?

Re: RBL Option for sendmail

I would think 8.12.3 would work also.. take a look at the readme/cf here
