i install RHAT 5.4 on hp 6930p, installation others softwares on RHAT 5.4 and system performance is too muchhhhhhhhhhhhh slow , any solution , pls reply

How much memory does the system have:

free

You may simply have to little memory.

If this is a desktop system, it may not have proper Linux Driver support.

I would think that you need 1GB of ram at a minimum

and who knows if all the internals of this model are supported in the best manner.

This laptop is not on the redhat certified HW list but not everthing that works is either.

i have core 2 due 2.53 4 gm ram and 500 gb hard disk and all is free

Please post the output of the free command.

I'm not familiar with your hardware but if Linux is unfamiliar with it, say its windows only hardware as much of HP's entry level hardware is, you may have a problem.
