RHEL 5.6 Installation on rx6600
Hi,
I have downloaded RHEL 5.6 Itanium version CD's. But i am not able to install the OS means not able to boot the system from the CD.
What procedure to install RHEL on itanium Servers?

Shalom,
Boot the system from console.
There is an EFI prompt. You need to build a boot option that lets you boot from the internal DVD. Have DVD1 of your Red Hat DVD set in the drive
This link is probably your best bet.
Poke around, download the latest PSP pack for Itanium Linux.
Recognize that there is no RHEL 6.x migration path for this server. RH decided not to develop the OS for IA64/Itanium.
You can hack away at the Extensible Firmware Interface menu. Its relatively intuitive as such things go.
